Join Twist Out Cancer at the Fulton Street Collective for" TwistShop- An Afternoon of Creating, Storytelling and Reflection
TwistShops are art therapy focused workshops curated by Twist Out Cancer that promote healing, relaxation and emotional recovery through art therapy based interventions that are designed to reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress related to cancer.
On Sunday March 3, join Twist Out Cancer for a TwistShop, an art therapy focused workshop that centers on storytelling and healing for individuals touched by cancer.
Led by Jacqueline Carmody, a licensed clinical art therapist, and Twist Out Cancer Board Member, participants will be guided through a series of exercises that will promote the flow of healthy conversation and positive feedback related to artmaking. Participants will have an opportunity to reflect, let go of stress and be present during the time they spend with others creating artwork. Participants will have access to a variety of art-making materials and the opportunity to reflect in a comfortable, safe and supportive environment.
The event will run from 3:00-6:00 pm.
Refreshments will be provided.
