DESCRIPTION:RUSH Twistshop Series \nJoin Twist Out Cancer and RUSH for a monthly arts therapy workshop with art therapist and licensed clinical professional counselor\, Jacqueline Carmody. \nWhen: This series will take place the first Friday of every month through August 2025 \nWhat: This series will introduce you to new and exciting art making techniques to promote social connection\, relaxation and healing. All art materials are included! \nTwistshops programs are non-clinical creative arts therapy-focused workshops that promote healing\, relaxation and emotional recovery through art based interventions that are designed to reduce symptoms of depression\, anxiety and stress related to cancer. Twistshops welcome individuals who have been touched by cancer and utilize the arts as a mechanism for self-expression. \nFree Monthly Sessions available to Rush Cancer Care patients and families! \nQuestions? DESCRIPTION:Brushes with Cancer Winter 2025 Art Exhibition and Celebration \nWhen: March 15\, 2025 \nWhere: Writers Theatre 325 Tudor Court\, Glencoe\, IL 60022 \nBrushes with Cancer is a program of Twist Out Cancer that strategically matches artists with individuals touched by cancer (“Inspirations”). Over a period of 6 months\, the artist and inspirations work together to build a relationship built on mutual understanding and trust. The artist creates a unique work of art that is reflective of the inspiration’s journey with cancer. The program culminates in a celebration of survivorship and hope\, where the art is auctioned off with all proceeds benefiting the mission and work of Twist Out Cancer. \n
