DESCRIPTION:Virtual Hangout with Unite for Her\nThe Art of Cozy: Finding Comfort Through Hygge\nDate: Wednesday\, December 10\nStart time: 4:00pm CST/5:00pm EST\nEnd time: 5:30pm CST/6:30pm EST\nZoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/MPAifdGAQWmSlBRS5qT4HQ\nSegment details:\n-The segment will have a “show + tell” element to it.\n-The activity will be a type of narrative therapy with writing/word prompts centered around “hygge” which means “cozy” in Danish.\n-Attendees will be encouraged to bring their favorite mug where they like to enjoy a favorite beverage in their ‘cozy’ space.\n-Erin will email the pre-designed hygge coloring sheet to attendees which will be used to create their own artwork of a cozy place – the place can tie into any part of their life.\n-At the end\, attendees can show their mug and completed artwork highlighting their cozy space and why it brings them joy.\nPlease register in advance!

In this Twistshop\, we’ll draw on themes of the Solstice to explore how rituals and traditions can offer comfort and a sense of control during uncertain times\, such as a cancer diagnosis. Through art making\, we will create winter scenes that reflect both the beauty of the season and the complex emotions it can bring. \nFacilitated by Twist Out Cancer facilitator & art therapist\, Callie (Cullinan) Ludwig\, LPCC-S\, LPAT\, ATR-BC \nSuggested Materials: \n\nDrawing/Watercolor paper\nOil/chalk pastels\nWatercolors\nMarkers/Crayons \nCollage materials; scissors\, magazines\, glue\, etc.
