Twist on Cancer: I have had such a wonderful time getting to know Ashley. She is a wonderful person and our personalities clicked so well. We could have talked forever! It was very cathartic to share my story about living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. By sharing my story with Ashley, from diagnosis to how I live as joyfully as possible with terminal cancer. She was able to exquisitely capture my personality and the emotions and feelings I have regarding my life living with cancer. Seeing a representation of my personal cancer experience brought to life through art was a beautiful experience.

Artist Statement: I had the pleasure of working with Katie as Inspiration. Right away we connected over simple beauty and delight found all around us, if you're paying attention. Katie spoke of taking action when an interest struck, seeing the Northern Lights, experiencing the presence of a moose and being an artist herself, the magic in the colors and intricate design of flowers seen through the artist's view. Katie works to educate and connect people experiencing cancer. Drive and determination do not keep her from noticing all the fun and joy this life has to offer. I'm thankful for this uplifting and colorful experience.
