“The Drive Home”
Acrylic, Medium, and Modeling Paste on Canvas
25” x 36”
$1500
Artist Statement: When speaking to my inspiration, Pam, what struck me most was a story about a drive home and her association with rainbows. As I began the creative process, this story was at the forefront of my mind, and I could picture the drive in my head. Just as we drive and things fly by the window, so do our life experiences. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows, and not everything is clear. This painting represents the multiple layers of life within the layers of paint and paste, as well as the blurred lines between stories and experiences as they fly by.
