Designed for patients, caregivers, and staff across the Cooper University Health Care system, Gratitude in Color provides a calming space to cultivate mental and emotional well-being. The session opens with introductory free-association watercolor painting and intentional mark-making exercise to help release tension. Participants then participate in 30 minutes of reflective watercolor process painting guided by the art therapist. Emphasizing the grounding experience of art-making and the fluid, soothing qualities of watercolor, the workshop focuses on nervous system regulation, self-compassion, and recognizing personal support systems through expressive color movement.
