Artist Statement: Jennifer was diagnosed with lung cancer at 32 years old and was pregnant with her third child. Now, 5 years later, she has good days and bad days. When she was diagnosed, all she could see was black. I worked with her vision of a sailboat and a lighthouse to create this painting to represent her journey and hope.
