Twist on Cancer: I never imagined that my journey of healing—mentally, physically, and spiritually—after a cancer diagnosis would lead me to become a Nutrition and Cancer Coach. Yet, here I am, dedicated to empowering and supporting cancer survivors and caregivers. I guide those in treatment, in remission, and their caregivers in adopting mindful practices, enhancing their nutrition, and building resilience. Together, we strive to live life by design, not by default.

Artist Statement: Working with my muse Zoraida was a pleasure. She into much depth about her upbringing in the Bronx New York, all the while going through humble beginnings to lucrative self made success. Even though that success came with a cost. From dissatisfaction in her high paying finance job. To even some rocky scenarios with close and distant family. It surprised even me that my muse would crow on saying “cancer changed her life for the better.” Being because, it exposed her unhappiness. It exposed how she wanted better in her marriage, better in her family dynamics with her two lovely sons and a better relationship with her mother. I could not believe the stories that she told me, and the only way I could make sense of all of this was by creating a piece in expressive charcoal. To illustrate the ups and downs of her very interesting, beautiful life.
