Description: Come and create together as Twistshop partners with the Cancer Wellness Center for an evening of art making and connection. Join Art Therapist, Mignon Dupepe as we use Mary Oliver’s poetry, art materials and processes to explore sunrise meaning and metaphor and new appreciations for mindfully setting positive morning intentions towards improved well-being. No previous art experience required to participate-just an interest in using art materials for expression and growth and opportunities to connect with others.
Suggested Materials – Art materials to be considered for using with this workshop include:
-Plain heavy paper/watercolor paper
-Bright color collage/construction papers, magazine pages -with sunrise colors, sunrise photos
-Colorful markers/pens/colored pencils/crayons (whatever available!)
-Colorful pastels
-Watercolor or acrylic paints in colorful hues
-Water/paint brushes/paper towels
-Glue stick
-Scissors
