Brushes With Cancer is an artistic celebration that pairs accomplished Artists with “Inspirations,” people whose lives have been impacted by cancer as previvors, current patients, survivors or caregivers. Most of the participants are from south Florida.
The Artists bring to life the Inspirations’ twist on cancer — stories, feelings and experiences — with works of art that represent the Inspirations’ personal journey with the disease.
All Miami is invited to join the Artists, Inspirations and their family and friends to view the finished works at a celebratory public art viewing and silent auction curated by Rosie Gordon-Wallace, arts advocate and founder of Miami’s Diaspora Vibe Cultural Arts Incubator. All proceeds will benefit future editions of Brushes With Cancer at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
